Abolitionist Media Sources
The abolitionist movement today is not well known to everyone. However, there have been many efforts to end human trafficking. Advertisements are everywhere, and they provide information on how to stop modern day “slavery”. Posters are appearing on buses in King County, California, with information on human trafficking prevention. The poster provides a phone number and a website with information on how to control “slavery”. The poster also has many languages, so that people of all cultures know what is going on in the community around them. The Purple Teardrop Campaign has ads on its website. Its website provides a section to donate money that can help control “slavery”, and it also has a newsletter that people can subscribe to. This website also tells how ABTA (a tour company) also supports this cause. ABTA helps by plastering anti human trafficking advertisements wherever they can to spread awareness. The NHTRC (National Human Trafficking Resource Center) is also making efforts for the public to notice human trafficking. They also have a phone number and an email to report human trafficking. All in all, many people have made efforts to make human trafficking noticeable and for citizens of the United States to help report suspicious activity.
