Methods of
Activism
Activism - the policy or action of using vigorous campaigning to bring about political or social change
Demonstrate/protest: This is the core expression of activism. This is done by protesting against companies and other groups that are engaged in unethical activities. There are many types of demonstrations that include marches, strikes, sit-ins, sleep-ins, teach-ins, and street theater. There is also a virtual sit-in today where large groups of people access, at one time, the computer servers of obnoxious websites. In a demonstration, criticism should not be the only point. Further encouragement to change should be given.
